Celebration of Danish Theatre 300 years
Experience new Danish drama inspired by Holberg on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Danish theatre.
Danish drama began with Holberg 300 years ago. It is characteristic of his drama that the plot centres on a main character, who is often also the title character.
To mark the anniversary, the Danish Dramatists have launched a competition to find ways of continuing and updating Holberg's basic template. The competition's two winning plays will be performed as staged readings on stage in the Queen's Hall.
The event is in Danish.
The event is a collaboration between Danish Dramatists and Royal Danish Library.
