Our organisation
The Royal Danish Library is Denmark's national library and is an institution under the Ministry of Culture.
The director is the library's chief executive, and below that the library is organised in a number of deputy director areas, each focusing on its own overall area of the library's large task portfolio. Each deputy director's area is divided into several professionally specialised departments and sections. In January 2024, Nota Bibliotek also became part of the Royal Danish Library.
The director, together with the deputy directors, constitutes the Royal Danish Library's management.
