Summer and Tour de France at Søren Kierkegaards Plads

Søren Kierkegaard Plads will be transformed into a green oasis when Tour de France passes right by the square. The green square will be open from 1st of July to beginning of August.

Søren Kierkegaards Plads will be transformed into a green oasis with grass and trees, which the city will enjoy all summer as the temporary urban space will remain until the beginning of August.
The occasion is this year's Tour de France, where stage 1 will lead the riders right by Søren Kierkegaard Plads and Det Kgl. Bibliotek.

Søren Kierkegaard Square will house everything from a Tour de France fan zone and exhibition areas to green planting, play areas and pergolas to sit under. The transformation of Søren Kierkegaards Plads will be an urban experiment to test how one of the largest squares in Copenhagen can be developed and used in the future.

The interior design of Søren Kierkegaards Plads was designed by the architectural firm BOGL and was created in collaboration between SLKS, the National Museum of Denmark, the City of Copenhagen, Det Kgl. Bibliotek and with the kind support of Realdania.

Partnerne bag
