Bibliotekshaven LIVE: Caspar Eric, Ginne Marker, Kristina Stoltz, Aske Jacoby og Laura Allen Müller

We celebrate the open, free-minded city of Copenhagen in the historic library garden with music, statements and new poetry.

Royal Danish Library's successful summer stage LIVE in the Library Garden returns with lots of music, poetry and performance. Three Thursdays from late August to early September, you can meet actors, poets, speakers and musicians at the historic, secretive garden behind The Black Diamond in Copenhagen. Buy refreshments at the café's pop-up bar, and feel free to bring your own picnic blanket.

Over the past decades, openness and free spirit have become a landmark and symbol of our city, and it is precisely the free spirit of Copenhagen that will once again be the headline for the artists, poets, musicians and speakers you can meet in the garden behind The Black Diamond.

This year the the Royal Danish Library has taken the initiative to have new Danish poetry written as a response to the Copenhagen reality here and now. This afternoon, you can meet author Kristina Stoltz, singer/songwriter Ginne Marker with guitarist Aske Jacoby, poet Caspar Eric and actress Laura Allen Müller.

Kristina Stoltz

Kristina Stoltz (born 1975) has published poetry, short stories, children's books and novels and has received several awards and scholarships for her writing. She moves freely between genres, and her writing is characterised by the fact that she explores new literary paths with each publication. A common feature of Kristina Stoltz's work, however, is a particular tone of language and an openness to the world and the possibilities of language.

Ginne Marker

Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Ginne Marker has really left her mark on the Danish music scene. In 2020, Ginne received two Carl Awards for Talent of the Year and Jazz Composer of the Year for her debut album For Seasons to Come. The album, produced by Aske Jacoby and released in November 2019 on Giant Birch, has already been streamed over 10 million times and has received many great reviews - including 5 stars in GAFFA, who called it "one of the best singer-songwriter/vocal jazz debut albums in a decade".

Caspar Eric

Caspar Eric debuted in 2014 with the poetry collection 7/11, which earned him the Bodil and Jørgen Munch-Christensen cultural grant. Subsequently, he has published a long poem and two collections of poems, all of which have received great praise from reviewers. During the corona pandemic, Caspar Eric has published two collections of poems based on life during the pandemic: Jeg vil ikke tilbag: digte fra dage med Covid-19 and Vi kan gøre meget, where Eric explores a community-oriented direction in his literature.

Laura Allen Muller

Laura Allen Müller is educated at Den Danske Scenekunstskole, Aarhus and The Lee Strasberg Film & Theater Institute, New York. Laura Müller has both appeared in feature films, as well as roles in TV series such as Borgen, Forbrydelsen and Pendlerkids.
