Copyright and copies

The use of sound, text, photographic or digital illustrations from The Royal Library may require permission of the copyright owner as the work/material might be protected by the Danish copyright law. 

The Royal Library can provide you with copies of various types, see the pricelist. Prices do not include compensation to the copyright owner. It is your own responsibility to obtain prior permission or pay a copyright fee, if necessary, before use of any material.

You are free to use, reproduce and distribute electronically or in other ways texts, pictures etc. from The Royal Library's website provided that all content is given a clear attribution to the source as well as a link to the relevant content. You are under no circumstances allowed to alter texts, pictures etc., and the content must not in any way be used for commercial purposes. Any deviation from these conditions will appear on the applicable site. It is not possible to obtain exclusive rights for reproductions of any content published on The Royal Library's websites. 


The Commons on Flickr

This indicates that the Library is unaware of any current copyright restrictions on the material, either because the library owns the copyright, or the term of copyright has expired, or because no evidence has been found that copyright restrictions apply.
