Tour de France and our library service

The running of the Tour de France (29 June - 2 July 2022) at our libraries in Copenhagen will have an impact on our library service, as it is difficult for materials and staff to get around the city.

We hope that many of you will participate in our events at Søren Kierkegaards Plads, in front of the Black Diamond in Copenhagen, in connection with the Tour de France. Please note that the conduct of the Tour de France at and around our buildings affects our library operations.

Access to the Black Diamond

Please note that several roads around the Diamond will be closed during the time period 29 June to 3 July 2022, and that bicycle parking is not possible in front of The Black Diamond.

Plan your journey using the City of Copenhagen's map.

Delivery of material

You may experience extended delivery times on materials from the Royal Danish Library this week. This is due to the fact that our cars cannot get around Copenhagen's Inner City.

It may also mean delays elsewhere in the country, if the material comes from Copenhagen. We do our best to keep the delays as small as possible. For example, we will add extra trips the following Monday and Tuesday, if necessary.
