Young Danish progressive string quartet

The Nordic String Quartet, founded in 2013 at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, consists of four passionate string players who emanate love for chamber music. Despite its young age, the quartet is already well established in the Scandinavian chamber music scene and regularly joins both festivals and chamber music societies. The Quartet received the “Odd Fellow Logernes Musikpris” in 2014.

Additionally in 2014, the Quartet won The Royal Danish Academy of Music’s scholarship competition and was announced an ensemble by the conservatory's solo class, given the highest possible rating.

Programme:
Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen (1932-2016): Strygekvartet nr. 1 (1959)

J. Sibelius (1865-1957): Strygekvartet i d-mol op. 56 “Voces Intimae” (1909)

-Pause-
