Arabic and Persian in REX

Apart from using transcription, you can also search using the Arabic/Persian alphabet in REX. When searching for items in Arabic script, it is advisable to try with as well as without the definite article ( (-ال), and when using transcription of Arabic and Persian, please try different transcriptions (and your imagination). Please note that items published before 2005 in general can be found only by using transcription.

On all public terminals at The Royal Library (the National Library and Copenhagen Unverrsity Library), it is possible to choose language/key board layout using the blue square box in the lower right hand corner of the screen; for key board lay outs, click here. On your personal pc (Windows), installation is done via Windows Regional Options in the Control panel.
