Digital Western Manuscripts in the Collections of The Royal Library: The 19th and 20th Centuries

As part of The Royal Library’s work with making accessible selected parts of its collections on the Internet, the Manuscript Department publishes complete facsimile editions of selected manuscripts.

Of the many thousand manuscripts from the 19. and 20. centuries the prioritisation in terms of digital publications has initially centred on manuscripts, diaries, letters etc. by Danish authors and other cultural figures. Among the authors represented we should mention: Emil Aarestrup, Hans Christian Andersen, Georg Brandes, Holger Drachmann, J.P. Jacobsen, Sophus Claussen, Johannes V. Jensen, Henrik Pontoppidan and Per Højholt.
