Information Supply and Digitalisation
We develop, maintain and secure the library's digital solutions while creating great user experiences and streamlined infrastructure.
In a society characterised by rapid information flows, AI and fake news, it is more important than ever that users are able to find, navigate and critically evaluate the ever-increasing volume of data and information they encounter. In Information Supply and Digitalisation, we work to ensure efficient workflows, user-friendly systems and a coherent digital infrastructure across the organisation for the benefit of Royal Danish Library's users, partners and the wider community. We are responsible for the supply and processing of physical materials, including legal deposit, procurement, cataloguing and related services.
We are also responsible for the library management system, which supports and ensures access to information resources for all our users. We develop, maintain, secure and operate the library's digital solutions. We automate and streamline the library's IT infrastructure and systems, while supporting the use of new technologies and AI. In addition, we are responsible for the library's information and IT security, as well as the technical support of the library's digital presence across multiple platforms.
The area is responsible for the following functions:
- Digital library service
- Physical legal deposit and physical information supply
- Operation and development of Royal Danish Library's IT systems
- IT projects
- Digital transformation of Royal Danish Library
- Support for the use of new technologies and AI
