Partnerships for Education, Research and Accessibility

We provide library services to a wide range of local and national partners.

Free and equal access to knowledge is fundamental to an open and vibrant democratic society. In Partnerships for Education, Research and Accessibility, we work with universities and other educational and research institutions to deliver and develop both national and institution-specific library services.

As a university library, we provide consistent and professional support to students, lecturers and researchers across Denmark, both digitally and in study facilities. We are also responsible for Royal Danish Library's Licence Service, which manages and negotiates licence agreements to ensure digital access to knowledge for upper secondary education, higher education and research institutions. In addition, Royal Danish Library's Nota Service ensures that people with visual impairments or reading disabilities have access to fiction, non-fiction and academic literature, working closely with user organisations, rights holders and relevant public authorities.

The area is responsible for the following functions:

  • University library services for Aarhus University, IT University of Copenhagen, University of Copenhagen, Roskilde University and Danish School of Media and Journalism
  • Licence Service for upper secondary education, higher education and research institutions
  • Nota Service for users with visual impairments or reading disabilities
  • Ask the Library – Royal Danish Library's contact service
