We provide nationwide library services for people with visual impairments, dyslexia or others who are unable to read printed text due to disability. Nota Service's mission is stated in Royal Danish Library's appropriation in the Finance Act and in the Library Services Act. You can become a user of Royal Danish Library's Nota Service if you have a documented visual or reading disability, or if you teach pupils and students who are users of Royal Danish Library's Nota Service.
In agreement with the National Agency for Education and Quality, we provide special educational support to pupils and students in the form of specially designed teaching and study materials for:
- Pupils with dyslexia in primary school
- Pupils with visual and reading disabilities in upper secondary education
- Students with visual and reading disabilities in higher education
We also manage and implement a special grant with the aim of increasing media accessibility for the blind and visually impaired.
