The Children's Library: Make your own beautiful crown
In our children's universe, which is open every other Saturday, you can explore the magical world of books and immerse yourself in creative workshops with room for play and fun for the whole family.
Come join us at Royal Danish Library's children's universe, the Children's Library, located deep beneath the old library building in the historic Galley Hall. The hall has high ceilings, cosy reading nooks, a creative workshop and play activities for young and old.
In the Children's Library we do activities in the creative workshop - this time we make crowns. In addition, you will always be able to dive into our collection of special children's books, explore our fairytale filing cabinets, play games or go exploring in the library with, for example, our Diamond Hunt or on Treasure Expedition. Read much more about it all below.
Practical information
It is free for all children and their adults to participate in The Children's Library. The activities are primarily aimed at children aged 4-11, but all children are welcome.
The Children’s Library takes place in the open library areas on the second floor every Sunday from 10.00 to 16.00. Follow the signs through the building or ask the staff in the shop for directions. Food and refreshments can be purchased from the café at The Black Diamond.
There is limited seating available for visitors wishing to eat their own packed lunches in designated areas of the library. In good weather, the Library Garden or the harbourfront are ideal places to enjoy a packed lunch.
