You can collaborate with us on the following topics:

Digitisation of physical collections

Get a quote for digitization for use in your research application

If you are planning a research project with material which has not yet been digitised, you have the opportunity to establish a collaboration with us on digitisation - and subsequent release for research use. Based on a dialogue with you, we can prepare an offer for digitisation and possibly adding metadata, which you can use as part of your research application.

Other opportunities for digitisation

We can also help with other digitisation tasks of larger or smaller amounts of material.

Do you have questions or would you like to hear more about your options?

Making the collections available and disseminated

We have collections that are digitised but cannot be made available because they require the addition of metadata, screening for personal data, or other tasks.

We are open to collaboration with researchers, educators, and students on making the collections available and disseminating them, either because there is a need for the collections to be made available, or because the work with the source materials itself can be part of the students' learning. This could, for example, be in relation to enriching metadata, processing digitised material, preparing datasets, or disseminating the collections.

Please indicate which collection or topic you are interested in.

Teaching and introductions to collections

If you need deeper insight into specific collections or datasets, please feel free to contact us.

We have a wide range of subject matter experts with insight into the various cultural heritage collections. We can, to a limited extent, offer presentations about the collections based on our research and collection management, as well as teaching and guidance in the use of data from the collections. This can be as part of your teaching, or in preparation for your teaching. This can also be done in collaboration with the university libraries.

Research collaboration with researchers at Royal Danish Library

Research at Royal Danish Library is mainly carried out in relation to the library's cultural heritage collections, including research into the collection and preservation of both physical and digital cultural heritage materials. This research is based on the collections and covers several fields of study.

If you have ideas for a research project in collaboration with researchers and experts at Royal Danish Library, please contact the Research Committee. The Research Committee receives many inquiries about research collaborations and we recommend that you contact the committee well in advance of any application deadlines – typically no later than 2-3 months.
