Access to data

We can only provide access to some of our digital cultural heritage collections upon request. Read about the possibilities and limitations.

"Access" means that, upon your specific request, we manually collect exactly the data you want and transfer a copy to you. This concerns data which, for one reason or another, cannot be made available as free download.

Which collections can we provide data from?

We are subject to certain rules and conditions when it comes to releasing data from our cultural heritage collections. Therefore, we cannot freely release data from all our collections, but in some cases it may be possible.

The online archive and the radio and TV collection

We may - with certain restrictions - release material from netarkivet and the Radio and TV Collection as data for research use.

Read more about the conditions on the individual pages or contact us to hear more.

What collections might we be able to provide data from?

We may be able to provide data from some collections – possibly after further work with metadata.

The table below provides inspiration for what might be available. If you would like to hear more about the options, please feel free to contact us.

Handing over data may in some cases require payment

Since preparing data to be handed over can entail a significant amount of work, we will in some cases charge a fee for handing it over. However, the initial dialogue is always free, and we always inform you before we start tasks that require payment. Larger projects may also depend on whether we have the capacity to complete the tasks at the time you would like.
