Thought Leadership Stage: Carlo Masala (DE) in conversation with Charlotte Flindt Pedersen

German star researcher and political scientist Carlo Masala visits The Black Diamond to talk about his new book "If Russia Wins".

In "If Russia Wins", Carlo Masala predicts how a possible victory for Russia in Ukraine could lead to serious consequences for NATO and the world as a whole. The book has received rave reviews from a number of media outlets.

In April, you can experience Carlo Masala in The Black Diamond, where he talks about his new book and his perspective on the highly tense world situation we find ourselves in now.

"If Russia Wins" describes a scenario in which Russia, with limited resources, takes the border town of Narva in Estonia under the pretext of an oppressed Russian-speaking population. Since the United States does not want to start World War III and refuses to activate Article 5 over a small border town, Russia, with limited resources, achieves its goal of NATO's collapse.

In the book, Carlo Masala predicts the major consequences it will have for the NATO alliance and for the world as a whole if Russia wins.

The event is held in collaboration with Forlaget Grønningen 1 and is part of Royal Danish Library's "Thought Leadership Stage". Here, Royal Danish Library invites - as a response to today's fake news, misinformation and rapid information flows - a selection of the world's leading experts and practitioners to share their knowledge and experiences on The Black Diamond. Always based on literature.

Bente Skovgaard Kristensen, Chief Executive of Royal Danish Library, says: In a time marked by uncertainty, war in Europe and polarization, we need a common point of view – for shared knowledge and experiences. Literature is fantastic here, because it gives us the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of others, learn from the experiences of others and together explore scenarios that have not happened. Carlo Masala's new book is an important contribution to the debate about the security-political situation we find ourselves in right now. I hope that many – young and old – will seize the opportunity.
