HOLLYWOOD: Sebastian Knauer (DE) and NOVO Kvartetten (DK)

A musical journey through the world of film – from the 20th century to present day with contributions from 17 composers.

”You ain’t heard nothin’ yet!”

These were Hollywood's first spoken words on film in 1927. Sebastian Knauer made his debut early and can look back on three decades as a concert pianist. Now he has teamed up with composer and conductor David Newman and the Danish NOVO Quartet on the project HOLLYWOOD.

A musical journey through the world of film – from the 20th century to present day with contributions from 17 composers – is brought from the big screen to the Queen's Hall with new arrangements by Knauer and Newman. You will recognize tunes from, among others, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, John Williams, Alfred and Thomas Newman.
