The Faces of Music: The Power of Film Music!

ONLY ANNUAL PASS – Peek behind the curtain of music with the Faces of Music.

This talk takes you into the magical and manipulative world of film music. It can be enjoyed either as a standalone event or as an introduction to the Hollywood Concert on 24 November in the Queen’s Hall.

Ida Rud Nielsen is a journalist at Troldspejlet and a host on Danish Radio's P2, P8 and DR2. She is also a freelance film and music journalist, critic and lecturer. She has worked extensively with film music, for example in the Danish Radio P8 programme Se det for dig.

The Faces of Music

An incredible amount of preparation and activity takes place before we, as members of the audience, can settle comfortably into our seats in the Queen’s Hall and experience a piece of music. Musicians must train, music must be composed and rehearsed, instruments must be built, programmes must be printed, and so on.

The Faces of Music offers a glimpse behind the scenes and invites composers, musicians, researchers and others to talk about their work before the music reaches the audience in concert.
