Figueres is internationally recognised as one of the most visionary leaders of our time in the fields of climate change, sustainability and international negotiation. On 25 September, The Black Diamond will be visited by her. She was the chief architect of the Paris Agreement in 2015, where as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), she brought together 195 nations - governments, businesses and organisations - for a groundbreaking, global climate agreement.
In the business world, Figueres is a great role model for strategic leadership, cross-functional collaborations and sustainable transformation. In addition to her central role in international negotiations, she has worked closely with both private companies and financial institutions to accelerate the green transition - including as an advisor to global companies and foundations and as a board member of innovation-driven organisations.
She is a co-founder of the organisation Global Optimism, which brings together a wide range of ambitious companies on green transition, and has taken her experience from perhaps the world's greatest diplomatic breakthrough into consulting, lectures and board work with a focus on growth opportunities in the sustainable economy. Figueres is known for her unique approach to leadership, where collaboration and action are combined with strategic optimism and business understanding.
This event with Christiana Figueres is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience and best practices from one of the world's strongest voices for green transition and responsible business development.
