Royal Danish Library awards grants from two foundations each year. The application deadline is 15 April.

The aim of the Harry Opstrup Foundation, a commercial gardener, is to broaden the public's knowledge of the continuous development of photography and to increase the appreciation of the photographer's work. The foundation supports, among other things, major supplementary purchases at home and abroad, the holding of temporary exhibitions and the establishment or development of exhibition facilities.

The Peer Olav Thomassens Foundation, founded by stamp dealer and railway historian, aims to ensure the continuation of research – especially within the history of Danish traffic and communication. The foundation provides support for, for example, the purchase and preservation of relevant material, the preparation of publications, research and study activities, and the holding of exhibitions, seminars and conferences.

Both funds accept motivated applications with relevant attachments until 15 April.
