Pierre-Laurent Aimard - Recipient of Sonning's Music Prize

Pierre-Laurent Aimard will receive Denmark’s most prominent music award. Hear him play a solo concert with music by Rued Langgaard, Mozart, Ligeti and more.

French star pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard is one of the most personal voices among contemporary pianists. Aimard will receive Denmark's biggest music prize, the Léonie Sonning Music Prize 2022. The traditional prize will be presented at a concert with the Royal Danish Orchestra on 7 October 2022 at the DR Concert Hall. This concert is part of the celebration of Pierre-Laurent Aimard.

The concert is part of the series Pianists in the Diamond and is supported by the Beckett Foundation.

The concert has been arranged in a collaboration with Léonie Sonning's Music Foundation.
