International Author's Stage: Siri Hustvedt (US)

Experience award-winning author Siri Hustvedt in a conversation about grief, memory, and love when she visits us on the occasion of the publication of her memoir, Ghost Stories. A Love Story.

Siri Hustvedt is one of New York's prominent writers and intellectuals. With an impressive range, she writes about feminism, art, philosophy, history, psychology, and neuroscience. She is currently writing her memoir, Ghost. A love story about her lifelong relationship with her now deceased husband, Paul Auster.

In 2024, Paul Auster, who, in addition to being her great love, was also a fellow writer for more than 40 years, passed away.

When Siri Hustvedt is a guest at International Authors' Stage, she will talk about the work of writing the memoir Ghost. A Love Story , which is her most personal work to date, the memoir. A moving and intimate meditation on grief, memory, and enduring love.

The book is a patchwork of memories from the couple's life together: diary entries, notes, email correspondences, and love letters that intertwine into a tender and powerful tale of a long life together.
