The Faces of Music: Erik Balling 100 years

ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS ONLY – We warm up to the Erik Balling concert on 2 November by diving into his impressive musical film universe.

As a prelude to the Musical Balling concert on 2 November - where, on the occasion of Erik Balling's 100th birthday in 2024, we celebrate and pay tribute to Balling's work through music - we invite Diamond Club members to this exciting conversation between Erik Balling's son Jan Balling, his granddaughter Cæcilie Balling and film writer Christian Monggaard, who, with his books about both Balling and his productions, possesses an incredible amount of knowledge about Erik Balling's work.

About the Faces of Music

An incredible amount of work takes place before we as the audience settle comfortably in the chairs of the Queen's Hall to experience a piece of music. In any order: the musician must be trained, the music must be written and rehearsed, the instrument must be built, the programme printed, et cetera.

The Faces of Music go behind the music and invite composers, musicians, researchers and others to talk about their work.

We are warming up for this evening:
