Aarhus Festival at Royal Danish Library: Author talk with Alen Mešković

In three author talks during Aarhus Festival, we explore this year's themes through literature, inviting you to join conversations about technology, nature, community and what it means to be human in a changing world.

Myth x Machine: How do we live with the technology that shapes us?

Meet Alen Mešković for a conversation about his latest novel The Most Beautiful Farewell, set in a future Denmark where everyone knows the time of their own death. The conversation explores love, control, grief and resistance – and about what happens to humanity when technology and systems gain an increasing control over our lives.

The conversation will take place in Indsigten, Royal Danish Library's screen-free area, where the audience is invited into a calm and intimate setting with room for reflection and contemplation. The conversation will be moderated by Aarhus Arts Council literary consultant and advisor Lise Vandborg.

There is much more to experience at our library during Aarhus Festival. Join a guided tour, discover DR-arkivet, help digitise historical almanacs, or pay a visit to Thomas Dambo's sculpture, Lomme Ulrik. See the full programme.
