The Near Eastern collection consists of manuscripts, printed books (monographs and journals), microfilms and AV-materials, and a small collection of objects related to the art of the Near Eastern book, including miniature paintings.

Search for printed books in the database REX . Use Latin letters in transcription. New (and a few older) books can be searched for in Arabic script.
The Centre for Orientalia and Judaica (COJ) has a reference collection with books in Oriental and Western languages.

Manuscripts may only be used in the Centre where catalogues are found (under the shelfmark AMTO). This includes the older catalogue in Latin Codices Orientales Bibliothecæ Regiæ Havniensis, 1846-1857: Arabic in vol. 2 pp. 32-188, Persian in vol. 3 pp. 1-48, and Turkish in vol. 3 pp. 49-61. In vol. 3 you can find Arabic-Persian/Arabic-Turkish/Persian-Turkish (Cod. Mixt.), pp. 61-72, Syriac pp. 75-76, Syriac-Arabic pp. 76-77, Ethiopian pp. 78-79, Coptic pp. 79-80) Armenian (pp. 81-82, an Georgian p. 82. Access to a PDF-version for print: vol. 2 and vol.3. The Arabic manuscripts have been extensively catalogued (and partly recatalogued) in Catalogue of Oriental Manuscripts in Danish Collections, vol 5.1-3, 1995-2007.
