Publications of International Organisations

The Royal Library was a depository library until July 2002 for the following international organisations:

EU/EF, Council of Europe, UN, GATT/WTO, ILO, NATO, OECD, OSCE, UNESCO, UNIDO and WIPO. In addition the library has a complete collection of publications of the League of Nations.


Documents recorded in the online catalogue, REX, can be ordered by registered users, including

  • UN documents from 1946 to 2001
  • EF/EU documents from 1974 to 2001

If the document is not barcoded use the "special request" form.

The order form must contain the exact classification or number and year in order to be implemented

  • e.g. A/RES/31 fra 1976 (resolutions from the General Assembly)
  • e.g. KOM 88 (338) (bulletins from the Commission)

Note: The oldest UN documents may not be borrowed due to their fragile conditions. Copies can be ordered.
