Archives from Danish dramatists, theatres and theatre organisations

 

In the  Manuscript Collections and Archives  numerous sources are preserved from leading Danish writers, dramatists, theatre artists and theatre organisations. These archives contains various drafts and versions of the theatre texts and scenarios written by the authors in question. Among these collections are included manuscripts by the following Danish (and a few Norwegian) writers, dramatists, translators, theatre directors and choreographers (here listed in alphabetic order):

In the same department a number of administrative archives from closed Danish theatres and archives of Danish theatre organisations can be found, for instance, the archive of The Guild of Danish Dramatists (Danske Dramatikeres Forbund).

Moreover, a number of repertory archives from some major Danish theatres are perserved here:

  • The promter's archive of the Royal Danish Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater sufflørarkiv) containing the repertory performed during the 18th and 19th centuries.
  • The archive of the popular Danish vaudeville theatre Røde Kro Teater with the repertory performed during the 19th and 20th centuries.
