The Collection of Prints and Photographs

The collection of Prints and Photographs is part of the Department of Maps, Prints and Photographs.
The collection's main task is to collect and preserve the national heritage of images.
The department collects first and foremost documentary materials.
The collection consists of approximately 16 million images; photography – prints and negatives –, drawings, etchings and modern print techniques and it covers all imaginable subjects.
