Three new volumes in the Carl Nielsen Edition

At the end of 2007 three new volumes of Carl Nielsen's incidental music were published.

Nielsen wrote the music for not less than 22 different plays, performed at six different theatres over a period of 40 years. Some of the works only comprise a single song or two, others include large orchestral scores which nearly equal a whole symphony. Among the most important scores are the music for Holger Drachmann's "Hr. Oluf han rider" - [Master Oluf he rides -], Helge Rode's  "Moderen" [The Mother] and Ludvig Holstein's "Tove".

These three volumes thus all give a new and hitherto unknown picture of Nielsen's work as a composer.
