Centre for Music and Theatre
Centre for Music and Theatre is located in The Black Diamond, level E West, but access takes place at F West. You will find here:
- over 6.000 musical scores
- 10.000 volumes of reference literature about music and theatre,
- clippings about Danish music, collected in "Klippoteket",
- information and guidance from the staff
The materials at the Centre are for reading or listening only, but we will be glad to help you search for a copy to borrow.
Who?
Researchers, students and others, who want to work in the Centre are welcome to use the collections. You can also arrange to use special material from other parts of the library.
NB! A special reading room identity card is required for use of manuscripts.
Facilities
- Personal items such as reference works etc. are allowed.
- Wireless and cable internet access is available for registered patrons from terminals, or for personal laptops.
- Photocopies can be made (dependent on copyright regulations).
- An electric piano with earphones is available
News
- Printed music and books, not for circulation, will be possible to order and use at the Reading Room West in The Black Diamond.
- Music manuscripts can be ordered to the Centre for Manuscripts and be used at the Centre for Manuscripts & Rare Books at the F-floor in The Black Diamond. A Reading Room ID-card is necessary. Music manuscripts are not delivered to the Centre for Manuscripts Wednesday 5-7 p.m., but if you have an appointment, it can be delivered before 5 p.m. and used until 7 p.m.
- CD's can be ordered and listened to at the Centre for Manuscripts & Rare Books
- Theatre manuscripts can be ordered either for Reading Room West or Centre for Manuscripts
- Information about music or theatre issues at The Centre for Manuscripts & Rare Books or Reading Room West
