In 2015, Royal Danish Library celebrated the completion of John Fellows's monumental work, "Carl Nielsen Brevudgaven", printed in 12 thick volumes in Danish. Today, the work is part of our cultural heritage - a unique source material that is aimed at anyone interested in the composer's music - and the music that prevailed in the period from the 1880s to the 1930s. At the same time, the letters and diaries are an entertaining and at times dramatic account of Carl Nielsen's life and art.

Now, after a three-year collaboration between Royal Danish Library and the publisher Multivers, “Carl Nielsen Brevudgaven” is being published as a free web version and e-book, where all texts are translated into English – and with facsimiles of the original letters.

This gives the world's musicians and music lovers the opportunity to gain insight into the many letters and diary entries.
