Author: Sophus Michaëlis
Composition: 1929.
For the opening of an art exhibition in October 1929, Nielsen was commissioned to compose music to a text by the poet Sophus Michaëlis. It seems that they already made contact in June. According to his diary, Nielsen was working on the music in September and finished it at the end of that month.
