In 2o; upright format consisting of 4 nested bifolios; title page (folder, fol. 1r), blank page (folder, fol. 1v), secondary title page (fol. 1r), music (fols. 1v–7r), blank page (fol. 7v), blank folio (fol. 8r–v); in all 4 bifolios. Hand-ruled paper, between four to six sets of staves corresponding to 12–18 staves (9 mm; single rastrum used) in dark brown ink and music in black ink; bottom staves on some pages have not been used due to new sections of movements. A clean copy. Top left-hand corner of the folder's title page has Giedde's signature and the figure '104' cancelled and '24' added in ink; bottom right-hand corner 'Nro C | Stor fol.' added in ink.
In modern limp binding; only the upper cover of the original blue-grey folder has survived. Paper of a fairly dense quality.

Source consists of two parts: a keyboard part and a vl./fl. part in oblong format and both parts bound together; at bottom left-hand corner of the title page 'No C' and 'Stor fol.' are added in ink, presumably the first refers to Haffner's catalogue number and the second to the score.

In 2o; oblong format, consisting of 3 and 2 nested bifolios; music (fols. 21r–31r), blank page with staves (fol. 31v); pages numbered 1–21 in pencil in a library hand, in all 11 folios. Hand-ruled paper, 12 staves (7 mm; presumably a 12-stave rastrum used) in light brown ink and music in same ink as well as black ink; bottom staves on various pages have not been used due to new sections or movements. A clean copy with a few additions and changes made in black ink. The source includes three sonatas of which 'Sonata I

' appears on pp. 1–5; 'Sonata II.' on pp. 6–13; and 'Sonata III.' on pp. 14–21. Paper of a fairly dense quality.
Watermark: a partly visible watermark with the countermark 'W V' (?) and a crown, perhaps as part of an emblem.
