Hartmann dedicated his "Sex Sange for Mandsstemmer", opus 61 to Studenter-Sangforeningen in appreciation of their erection of a bust of him, modelled by H.W. Bissen, in their rooms. The money were raised partly through a collection among the members and partly by giving a concert.
