System Requirements

This website is best viewed on screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. The viewer requres Flash The site can be viewed using most modern browsers. We have tested Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Older versions of these browsers may not work and are not supported. If the system doesn't show the pictures it may help to use the browsers default settings.

 

About the website navigation

Fundamentally the site consists of 3 ways to display a scanned work. An overview where thumbnails are displayed. If a thumbnail is clicked on, the landing page with a larger image and data for the associated work is displayed. If the picture is clicked on, a viewer is started, where you can explore the work, by zooming into details of the image. For printed books, manuscripts, pamphlets etc., zooming is possible after clicking on one of the pages of an opening. Here is a guide on how to use this zoom-tool. Searching for a picture

In the search field in the top bar, you can search for pictures. The search field searches in all metadata associated with the pictures. It must be emphasized that the search does not cover all images in the library, but only those which have been categorized/catalogued in this system.

 

Ordering pictures

Single page works: You can download a picture in jpg-format in 4 different sizes from its landing page. If a higher quality image suitable for printing etc. is desired you can order the image via mail:fa@kb.dk. Remember to include the pictures id in your order. The pictures ID is found on its landing page. The picture will then be produced by the library's photo service. Multi-page works: please use the contact information on the work's individual landing page.
