Anonymous: Ny Tiender Om tho Jesuwiter (Copenhagen: Lorentz Benedicht, 1581)

Here we are told, in rhymed verse, horror stories about two Jesuits. Jesuits were one of several enemy images in Protestant Europe in the 16th century. We learn about a Jesuit in Augsburg, who assumed the disguise of the Devil in order to entice a good Protestant away from his faith, and also about another Jesuit in Vienna, who tried to resurrect the dead and instead caused the death of a poor man.
