Fragm. 2835-2836: Hugo de Sancto Victore, Didascalicon

Parchment, 2 pieces of 1 leaf, c. 8,5 × 16,5 cm; saec. XIII

Two pieces of the upper part of a leaf. The two pieces have been pasted together to form what appears to be one fragment

The fragments contain two sequences from Hugo de Sancto Victore, Didascalicon de studio legendi, liber V cap. iv, on the recto: “corpore uero permixto ... lege per quem precepta ///” (ed. Buttimer, 1939, p. 98), and on the verso: ”egipty totum uult ... annos egressi sunt” (ed. Buttimer, 1939, p. 100). - The text has formerly been identified as part of a "regula monastica"

The original leaf must have had c. 25 lines of written text per page; thus less than half has been preserved

The fragment is not mentioned in R. Goy, Die Überlieferung der Werke Hugos von St. Viktor. Ein Beitrag zur Kommunikationsgeschichte des Mitttelalters, 1976
