Parchment, 1 piece of 1 leaf, c. 21 × 15,5 cm; saec. XII / XIII
The fragment is the outer lower part of a leaf containing the Vitae Columbani abbatis discipulorumque eius, II.8-9. Each page of the original leaf seems to have had 2 columns. Parts of the 15 lower lines of the outer column plus remnants of 1 line have been preserved on both sides of the leaf
With lacunae the recto-side contains the text: “uirum nomine gundo ... non habere. Veniat”, and the verso-side: “populos /// tare studet multusque ... se gemeret . qui eius doctr” (ed. B. Krusch, Monumenta Germaniae Historica, Scriptores Rerum Merovingicarum IV, Hannoverae & Lipsiae 1902, p. 122f.)
Fragm. 529 may have belonged to the same codex as Fragm. 527-528, which contain parts of Beda Venerabilis, Vita s. Cuthberti
