According to the subscription on f. 40v the manuscript was copied by Johannes Andreae de Camulio who completed his work on April 26 1425
It was bought from a bookseller in Rome at an unknown date by Valerius Cyllonius Victor (cf. f. A verso)
The manuscript was brought to Denmark by the Danish scholar Frederik Rostgaard who acquired it in Venice in 1699. For a brief period it belonged to count Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe. The Royal Library bought the manuscript at the auction of the latter's library in 1732
