GKS 1995 4°: Anonymi commentarius in comoedias Terentii

The manuscript contains commentaries on five of the six comedies of Terence: Andria, Eunuchus, Heautontimorumenos, Adelphoe and Hecyra. The first element of the manuscript is a detailed introduction (accessus), which deals with the author’s life, his material, the purpose of the comedies and their usefulness, and which defines the genre, outlines its origins and explains the rules by which it operates

The manuscript was acquired by the Royal Library at the auction of the Chapter Library of Hamburg in 1784.The binding was made during the reign of King Christian IX (1863-1906)
