The manuscript GKS 2052 kvart contains a collection of Italian proverbs explained by Giacomo Castevetro (1546-1616). It is dedicated to Niels Krag (ca. 1550-1602), who was ambassador of the Danish King to the Scottish Court, and it is dated 6 August 1593.

The first part (f. 2r- f. 97r) contains a note on errors made by Dante, and a commentary on Dante’s life and the first 11 songs of Dante’s Divina Commedia; “Annotationi sopra Dante cavate dal Landino, et dal Vellutello, et dal Sansovino”. In the right side of the “footer”, the folios are foliated with signatures a4-z4; &4.
