Special Collections Reading Room (Reading Room West) on level 4

Mon-Thurs 9-19, Fri 9-18

On July 1, the Special Collections Reading Room opens its temporary facilities on level 4 in The Black Diamond, where also The Administrative Library is situated. The reading room on level 2 will, after a construction period of July-December 2019, according to plan reopen on level 2 in January 2020, as a joint reading room for the State Archives and The Royal Library. Construction work is a noisy business; we apologize for any inconvenience.

Special conditions apply

We must ask our users to limit the number of requests, as both the number of desks and the shelving possibilities are reduced. Please check www.bibliotek.dk for possible circulation copies. Subdued conversations will occur.

For the use of rare books and other works, that demand special supervision, a need for desk reservations will apply. As a result, we ask you to inform us well in advance (preferably two weeks) about your planned visit; you can do so by using the Contact the library web form.

Reference collection
The refence-/handbook collection has been moved to other locations in the library. Please ask the staff for more information.

We look forward to welcoming all users to our new reading room in January 2020!
