Monday December 1 2008 Copenhagen University's Library and Information Service (CULIS) held a mini conference entitled "Trends in Scholarly Communication". The location was "Festsalen" (room 1-01) at Faculty of Life Sciences, LIFE.
On this page you can find the program and further information. The presentations can be downloaded from our outreach-webpage.
By Scholarly Communication we mean the broad spectrum of terms - new and old - that are used to describe communication between scholars: Scientific publication (including Open Access and Peer Review), research and researcher networks, archiving, research registration and evaluation, as well as bibliometry.
The conference focused on the latest trends in this topic, e.g. web based forms of communication. This year's conference continued Copenhagen University Library's previous seminar series on Open Access. These took place in 2006 and 2007.
"Trends in Scholarly Communication" also had "homes" on Facebook and Nature Network.

11:45 Coffee break
