PsycInfo
PsycInfo it the online version of Psychological Abstracts, an international bibliography published by The American Psychological Association. PsycInfo is, with its extensive listing of international psychological research, the most important bibliography within the field of psychology.
PsycInfo contains references with abstracts.
The database is primarily British-American oriented, but most of the important Danish and Nordic journals are however indexed in the database.
PsycInfo covers journal articles from 1806 onwards and books and chapters from 1987.

PsycCritiques
This database consists of full text reviews of psychological books and film and is published by The American Psychological Association (APA). The database replaces the printed journal Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books. Each week 15-20 new film and books are reviewed. Furthermore, the database contains previously published reviews from the printed journal from 1995-2004. It is possible to browse for weekly reviews as well as search for previous reviews by the use of the author's name, title, year of publication or critic.

Social Sciences Citation Index
Social Sciences Citation Index contains references to articles and journals in all languages and from all countries from 1956 onwards, especially English journals. It is possible to search for cited works.

PubMed
PubMed is a bibliographical database that includes, among others, Medline, a database of medical literature, and other older as well as newer up-to-date references. PubMed contains more than 19 million citations and references to articles from 1950 onwards. The database contains primarily American texts, covering borderline areas within the psychological area, including health psychology, Clinical psychology and neuropsychology.

Embase
The content is medical as with PubMed, however, Embase has a larger focus on European literature. There is a 34 per cent overlap between Medline (PubMed) and Embase. Embase covers around 4000 journals from 70 countries, where the references in PubMed are primarily American. The rule is that an exhaustive and comprehensive search requires the use of both databases. Embase covers medical borderline areas within the psychological field, including Health psychology, Clinical psychology and Neuropsychology.

Cochrane Library
The Cochrane Library contains reviews of research about the efficiency of different treatments. It contains more than 3500 listings of beneficial and harmful effects of treatment and prevention. The database provides access to the most recent and reliable knowledge within the psychological field, not only related to medicine, but also psychological and alternative treatment - useful within the field of Clinical psychology.       

Sociological Abstract
Sociological Abstract is the most important sociological bibliography. It contains references to articles and books etc. in all languages and from all countries from 1952 onwards, especially English ones.

ERIC
ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) contains references and abstracts to journal articles and other education-related materials from 1966 onwards. Most of the literature is American.

Dissertations & Theses
The database contains more than 2 million theses and dissertations, primarily American, from 1861 onwards. The American theses from 1980 onwards have comprehensive abstracts. The "Master Theses" however, do not include abstracts until 1988. More than a million of the titles can be bought in full text versions (PDF-format), i.e. downloaded via Acrobat Reader and paid with VISA or other cards. The first 24 pages are however free. Full text versions of the theses from 1997 onwards are often possible to obtain for free. The database covers all subject areas.

Karlsruher virtueller katalog
KvK is a meta search interface that starts a simultaneous search in several databases. It contains library catalogues from all over the world and is useful when you need to know where in the world a specific book or journal can be found. Since 2007 WorldCat has also been included in KvK. The database contains German, French, Spanish, Italian and English search interfaces.

Artikelbasen is part of bibliotek.dk and contains primarily Danish newspaper- and journal articles: Major articles from 1945 and reviews from 1990. To narrow down your search, press the 'articles' and fill in the search word(s).
