Chemical Abstracts
SciFinder Scholar is the digital access point for several chemical databases, covering all aspects of chemistry. The databases are available to seven users simultaneously.
We can only provide access to students and staff at University of Copenhagen and its university hospitals. All others, please contact a librarian.
SciFinder includes the databases:
- CAPlus, covering almost all chemical litterature after 1907.
- REGISTRY containing all chemical substances registered after 1967.
- CASReact indexing organic reactions after 1985.
- ChemCATS with approx. 800 chemical catalogues
- CHEMLIST covering regulatory and legal aspects.
- MEDLINE, covering the biomedical litterature since 1966.
SciFinder allows searching for chemical structures, reactions, physico-chemical data, articles, books, authors etc.
The database is accessed through a webinterface. There is only acces for students or faculty at Copenhagen University - staff at the university hospitals have access as well, provided they have an e-mail adress on the ku.dk domain.

After registration, SciFinder can be accessed on scifinder.cas.org. This link works for all computers on campus, including the libraries.
Remote access can be achieved throug this remote access link. Before attempting remote access, please login to www.kb.dk using your social security number and pin-code.
