Biology

The biological disciplines are concerned with living organisms and their interactions with the environment. The library collection has a broad coverage of Cell Biology, Genetics and Evolution, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Animal Behaviour, Nutrition, Zoology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences.

Scientific papers

Search bibliographic databases (peer-reviewed references) or search engines (you must evaluate any reference found here yourself).
If you are not on Campus, i.e. at home or abroad, you have to access databases via REMOTE ACCESS (login at the right hand corner).

Journals

Journals available to the university may be found in the catalogue REX.
All printed issues of journals have to be ordered via REX or here.

Books

You search for books in REX. Printed books from 2001 until (and including) 2007 are available on open shelves, placed after subject. Older books may be ordered here or via REX. Books from 2008 will be on open shelves, but placed by numerus currens (by number of inclusion in the collections). You may find them by searching major keywords in our catalogue REX.

Courses and support

Do you wish to learn about or be updated on information search,  join a course. If  5 or more persons wish the library to arrange a special introduction, please contact The Course Centre.
