No. For security reasons you can only borrow items if you bring the card you have chosen as your library card.

Your Danish health insurance card is used as your library card. Your insurance card needs to be activated at one of the lending desks before you can borrow materials.

Can I delete a reservation in Rex?
Yes, you can delete your reservation via your user status in Rex if the item is currently lent out. However once we have already printed out your order for a book which is currently available, you can no longer delete your reservation.

Do I still need to pay the late fee if I didn’t receive a delivery reminder by email?
Yes, you are still responsible for the late fee issued, even if you didn’t receive your delivery reminder. Your library receipt shows the due date of the items you have borrowed, and returning or renewing books before this date is your responsibility. The delivery reminder is a courtesy service only.

Can I extend the pick-up time for books I have reserved?
No, unfortunately not. When the pick-up time has passed, your reservation is automatically deleted, and the book can be borrowed by the next person in line.

Can I get remote access to electronic resources, even though I don’t study or work at KU?
No, it's not currently possible because of the licensing agreements signed with publishers.

How do I pay fees due?
You can pay the full amount due online (via your user status in Rex) or you can pay in cash at the Circulation Desk at the Black Diamond, where partial payments are also accepted.

How long can I borrow books?
You can usually borrow books for a period of one month. If there is a reservation queue, the lending period is reduced to 14 days.

How do I order a photocopy?
When you have found the item you want to request press Copy/pdf. If you order a journal article and specify the page numbers you need, we will send a PDF-file to your email address if copyright rules permit it.

There is access from Reading Room West to the Copy Service. You can copy it here unless the book is particularly fragile. You can also choose to place a copy order form into the book and hand it to guard at Reading Room West.

Yes, but only through your local university library. They need to order the materials for you.

Why have you removed PCs from the library?
More and more students bring their own laptop computers to the library, so we’ve removed some of the PCs. We rarely experience that all of the PC’s are occupied at the same time.

I want to reserve a locker, but I can see that there are many in the queue. Is this queue for that one cabinet or to all of them?
The queue is for all the lockers, so when you reserve a locker it is for the next available locker and not the specific one you have chosen. This reduces the waiting time.

How do I access the electronic resources?
