Oriental Collection and Judaica Collection

The collections in Oriental languages, Hebrew and Yiddish make up Denmark's national collections of Orientalia and Judaica (manuscripts, books, periodicals and archival material). Together with other physical and digital collections of the National Library, as of Jan. 1, 2013, , they form parts of the National Collections Department.

Geographically the Oriental Collection covers all of Asia, with a main emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa, Central Asia, South Asia and East Asia. The Judaica Collection covers Israel and the Jewish diaspora in its entirety, with an emphasis on Judaism and Jewish culture and history.

Reading Room E-West (level E-West) holds a reference collection in Western and original languages.
