Handicap parking
Parking spaces for disabled people are available on Søren Kierkegaards Plads, just outside the main entrance to the library

Working places
Working places especially designed for disabled people can be found in Reading Room west (research), and in Reading Room east (newspapers and periodicals). PC’s for the visually impaired are available in Reading Room east.

Handicap lavatories
Handicap lavatories are situated on the ground floor in Diamanten/The Diamond, and in the Hansen building on C level.

Wheelchairs
You may borrow a wheelchair by contacting the reception desk.

Guide dogs
You may bring your guide dog.

Accompanying person
Disabled people may bring an accompanying person free of charge to all arrangements, exhibitions, and concerts.

Wire loop
A wire loop is installed in Dronningesalen/the concert hall. You may borrow a pick-up coil at the reception desk.

Access to cultural activities and meeting rooms
Cultural activities primarily take place on the ground floor in the Diamond, but also on levels K and B. Persons using a wheelchair should be aware that access to cultural activities, meeting rooms and tours of the library must be arranged no later than 3 week-days in advance by phoning the library at 3347 4880.
The library itself is placed on levels C to F.

Exhibitions
For access to exhibitions, please use the lift behind the bookshop.

The Queen's Hall / the concert hall
The concert hall covers levels K, A, and B. From the ground floor there is no handicap lift. Visitors using a wheelchair must use a different route to the concert hall. Follow the signs or ask for help at the reception desk.

Meeting Rooms
For access to the meeting rooms, please use the lift behind the bookshop.

Access to the library
The moving staircase will take you to the 2nd floor, level C. From this level, lifts can be used to reach the library centres. Persons using wheelchairs cannot use the moving staircase, but can borrow a special lift card at the reception desk in order to use the lifts on the ground floor. These lifts are not available to the general public. Persons using wheelchairs may also use a different route to the library. Follow the signs or ask for help at the reception desk.

Leaving the library
You leave the library from level C by the moving staircase to the ground floor. In accordance with law no 246 of 8 June 1978 on theft from the Royal Library, random search may occur at the exit. The lifts cannot be used by the public to reach the ground floor. People using wheelchairs must use the special lift card.
