FREE EVENT Experience Marina Abramović dramatic autobiography 'Walk Through Walls' in a 15-hour listening event, specially designed by Marina Abramović for the concert hall of the Black Diamond.

CURATED BY MARINA ABRAMOVIC #1
For the next three years, the Royal Danish Library will present the exhibition 'Abramović Method for Treasures' in the Black Diamond. Alongside the exhibition, Marina Abramović will be curating a series of events in the Black Diamond, that draw upon the exhibition, her artistic work in general, and the Royal Library as an institution.

The first event in the series is a long-durational listening event. In 2016, Marina Abramović published her autobiography 'Walk Through Walls' which tells the story of her extraordinary life and her six-decade-long journey as a performance artist.

Inspired by her own continuing exploration of long-durational performances, Marina Abramović has developed this 15-hour-long listening event where the audience will be able to hear the entire autobiography recorded by the artist herself accompanied by selected photos from Abramović' personal archive.

Drop by and get a taste or take on the whole 15-hour experience designed by Marina Abramović for the concert hall of the Black Diamond.

FOOD AND DRINKS
The café has a selection of sandwhiches, salads and more and is open 9 am to 6 pm. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the concert hall. You are welcome to consume your own food and drinks outside the hall.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Abramović studied fine art at the art academy in Beograd and has worked with performance as her artistic practice since the 1970s. Abramović is known for extreme, boundary-breaking works that focus on the encounter between audience and art. Often pushing back personal and public limits, she incorporates her own body and her audience in her art, for example in the works Rhythm 10, The Lovers, Balkan Baroque and The Artist Is Present – in 2010 the latter attracted more than 850,000 visitors to MoMA in New York.
